Joining the skilled and committed maintenance team of one of Australia’s leading food manufacturers, operating from the heart of the NSW Far North Coast, represents an exceptional opportunity to combine working in your chosen trade with living in one of the most sought after areas in Australia.

An excellent opportunity is currently available for a proactive, forward thinking Maintenance Electrician to join the multi trade maintenance team of a high volume food manufacturing operation, which runs on a continuous 24 X 7 basis and supplies products to a diverse range of customers across Australia and overseas.

The position involves working on a shift rotational basis, during the week, and entails undertaking a wide range of breakdown, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks associated with the site’s largely automated plant and equipment, which incorporates several production lines.

Key Position Requirements:

• Current maintenance, breakdown and installation experience in the Electrical or Instrumentation fields, associated with heavy industrial, manufacturing or processing operations
• Proven ability to install and maintain process control systems
• Effective troubleshooting and problem solving ability
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated understanding of and the capacity to adhere to OH&S requirements in the work place including completing risk assessments and following safe work procedures
• Sound computer skills including the ability to use MS Word and Excel and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Trade qualifications in the Electrical and/or Instrumentation field
• An current NSW Electrical Supervisors Certificate or NSW Electrical Contractors Licence
• Exposure to PLC’s, in particular Allen Bradley, Schneider, Yokagawa, Omron and Citect SCADA systems

Desirable Position Requirements:

• Relevant electrical maintenance experience within a food manufacturing operation
