<p>An excellent opportunity is currently available for a highly capable and experienced Engineer or Tradesperson within their Reliability Engineering department, which provides specialist services to all Mackay Sugar sites. These services involve monitoring and trending the condition of plant and equipment including gauging wear and defect characteristics with a view of improving plant reliability and availability through prediction of possible plant failure.</p>
<p><strong>Key Position Requirements:<br /></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven skills and experience within the condition monitoring and reliability engineering field and relevant to a heavy manufacturing or similar operation</li>
<li>Demonstrated working knowledge and skills associated with condition monitoring techniques and processes including the ability to develop and implement schedules for routine condition monitoring surveys, document plant condition information and investigate reported defects </li>
<li>Sound  troubleshooting and problem solving skills</li>
<li>Effective communication skills including the ability to both interact with all levels of a large workplace and provide clear technical advice </li>
<li>Demonstrated understanding and capacity to adhere to site Workplace Health, Safety &amp; Environment requirements </li>
<li>Well developed computer skills including exposure to using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Condition Monitoring databases </li>
<li>Trade and/or engineering qualifications in the mechanical or electrical field </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable Position Requirements:</strong></p>

<li>Experience with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) </li>

<p>An excellent opportunity is currently available for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Chemical Engineer, whose prior experience has an industrial, process or chemical technology focus and who would like to gain hands-on experience within a commercial R&amp;D environment.</p>
<p>The primary focus of the role will be to assist with the development of process technologies, including undertaking chemical analysis functions, prototype manufacture and development, prototype testing and operations and process testing and optimisation. Other key tasks include undertaking a range of project management and engineering work, involving hands on co-ordination of the development, installation, commissioning and operation of plant and equipment and preparing reports to support the commercialisation of process technologies. The role involves working within laboratory, pilot plant and semi-commercial plant operations.</p>
<p><strong>Key Position Requirements:</strong></p>

<li>Proven experience with carrying out project management and engineering work associated with the R&amp;D field</li>
<li>Effective trouble shooting and problem solving skills</li>

Mackay Sugar is currently constructing a $120 million Co-generation Plant at the Racecourse site, which is just one of the many exciting renewable energy projects set to grow the future of their business and their people.</p>
<p>Two excellent opportunities are currently available for trades qualified Mechanical Fitters with leading hand capabilities to join their busy maintenance team at their largest sugar milling site at Marian. The positions will be assigned to a particular area of the plant, namely the boilers and power generation section, or the processing section, which features centrifugals, crystallisers, vacuum pans, evaporators and clarifiers.</p>
<p>Sugar milling operations run on a continuous 24 X 7 basis for around six months of the year. During the balance of the year, normally between May and November, when sugar mills are shut, major upgrading and maintenance work is carried out.</p>
<p><strong>Key Position Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven skills and experience associated with co-ordinating and carrying out a wide range of maintenance, breakdown and installation mechanical tasks and projects associated with a heavy manufacturing or similar operation</li>
<li>Demonstrated working knowledge of a wide range of equipment and key components applicable to a sugar milling operation including boilers, turbines, conveyor systems and processing plant, along with pumps, valves, pipelines, motors and gearboxes </li>
<li>Sound problem troubleshooting and problem solving skills</li>
<li>Effective communication including the ability to lead, mentor and coach a mechanical trade team, including apprentices</li>
<li>Ability to plan and prioritise work in accordance with a Work Order System</li>
<li>Demonstrated understanding and capacity to adhere to site Workplace Health, Safety &amp; Environment requirements </li>
<li>Engineering Trade qualifications</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable Position Requirements: </strong></p>
<ul>

<p>An excellent opportunity is currently available for a highly skilled and versatile Maintenance Supervisor who has the capacity to be responsible for the upgrading and maintenance of critical power and steam generating plant and associated equipment with Mackay Sugar’s largest sugar milling site. </p>
<p>Reporting to the site Engineering Superintendent, the position will be required to liaise with the Production and Engineering divisions of the business and includes responsibility for leading and mentoring a mechanical trade team engaged in a wide range of upgrading and maintenance tasks and projects, along with responding to breakdowns.  </p>
<p><strong>Key Position Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>

<li>Significant exposure to factory control systems including Distributed Control Systems, PLC’s and SCADA systems</li>

<p><strong>Key Position Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven skills and experience in providing technical leadership and direction with electrical upgrading, improvement, maintenance and breakdown activities associated with a heavy manufacturing or similar operation</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with High Voltage Generation and Distribution and Process Control (DCS, PLC and SCADA) systems</li>
<li>High level technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills</li>
<li>Demonstrated working knowledge of up to date Workplace Health, Safety requirements and Electrical Standards applicable to a heavy manufacturing or similar operation</li>
<li>Excellent communication and liaison skills including the ability to effectively provide technical direction and advice to others</li>
<li>Exposure to Operational Excellence or similar best practice manufacturing techniques</li>
<li>Proficiency with the MS Office suite, Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and AutoCAD</li>
<li>Relevant qualifications in the Electrical Engineering field and/or post trade qualifications</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable Position Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Relevant experience associated with the sugar milling operations</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>The position may suit a Graduate Electrical Engineer with 2 to 3 years post Degree experience or an experienced Electrical Tradesperson who is in the process of completing an Electrical Engineering Degree.</strong></p>
